Connecticut Freedom Trail

The Connecticut Freedom Trail was authorized in 1995 by an act of the Connecticut General Assembly. Farmington sites on the trail include Amistad sites and Underground Railroad safe houses where fugitive slaves were hidden by abolitionists.

Past Event: Connecticut Colonial Cup at the Farmington Polo Club 🗓

Enjoy a spectacular polo match and support the Farmington Historical Society at the same time!  Join us at the Farmington Polo Ground on Town Farm Road on Sunday, September 9th for the Connecticut Colonial Cup.  The Historical Society is honored to be the charity beneficiary for the event.  The match begins at 3:00 pm, and gates open at 1:00 pm.  Admission is $20 per car or $5 per walker/biker.  Be sure to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity to enjoy a classic sport in the fresh air with friends!
